Ireland’s Wildlife Tours is a specialist division of Ireland’s Wildlife launched in 2017. We’re building on our years of expertise running Discover Wildlife Experiences on the West Cork stretch of Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way, and responding to your demand for longer, more immersive wildlife holidays in Ireland and further afield.
Ireland and beyond
Initially, we’ll focus on specialist wildlife and birding holidays on Ireland’s south coast. But that’s just the beginning. Moving forward we’ll be adding tours covering other parts of Ireland, as well as other birding and wildlife hotspots around the world. If you’d like us to keep you in the loop when we add something new just subscribe to our mailing list by entering your email address below.

Meet your hosts
Calvin Jones is a professional wildlife guide, author and naturalist. He founded Ireland’s Wildlife in 2009 as a platform to share his lifelong passion for wildlife with a broader audience, and to encourage more people to engage with the natural world around them.
Calvin leads Ireland’s Wildlife’s popular short-break, one-day and half-day Discover Wildlife Experiences based on the West Cork coast, and works with overseas tour companies to offer guided wildlife options on their Irish itineraries. He is a Natural Heritage Specialist on the Irish government’s Heritage in Schools panel, and a Failté Ireland certified Wild Atlantic Way champion.
Calvin’s passion for wildlife is contagious, and he loves nothing more than sharing his boundless enthusiasm for the natural world with others.
Colin Barton is a professional ecologist and wildlife guide.
He’s also mad about birds, and covers his local patch on Galley Head in West Cork avidly throughout the year. Colin is currently editor of the Irish Rare Birds Committee (IRBC) Annual Report and runs the rare bird news service for Co. Cork via the @CorkBirdNews twitter account. He also co-authored the last two editions of the Cork Bird Report.
